“Perfection requires attention to detail”
For moderate to complex smiles – a little more human touch is needed to achieve perfection. This is achieved through the use of IPR and attachments. These additional procedures allow Orthique to provide the highest quality results.
What is IPR? IPR is just a scary sounding acronym to describe a manual procedure done by your Orthique doctor called Interproximal Reduction. It contours and shapes your teeth so that they fit perfectly together as your teeth move with the clear aligners. The procedure takes less than 5 minutes and usually only requires 1 visit.
Attachments? Do I need those? Most patient’s teeth will align into place with just clear aligners alone. However, a certain percentage of patients need a few attachments (2-5 on average) placed on their teeth. Attachments are tiny, clear buttons, placed by your Orthique Doctor on a few of your teeth. These attachment can create more dramatic tooth movements when your wear your clear aligners – ultimately giving you the result you want.
